Wightlink is a ferry company that operates sailings between the mainland of England and the Isle of Wight. Wightlink runs services that only carry foot passengers, as well as others that carry both vehicles and passengers. The service for foot passengers runs between Ryde and Portsmouth and only takes 22 minutes. If you are travelling to the Isle of Wight from Portsmouth, then you can connect to rail services from the ferry terminal that will take you to destinations across the island.
